Trading Terms
This policy should be read together with our Return and Refund Policy and Online Shopping, Pricing & Contents Policy.
Camera Tek (Pty) Ltd operates from two branches located in Johannesburg and Durban.
Orders may be placed through our online store, via email, telephonically or directly with one of our sales consultants in store.
Customers may choose to collect their order from either our Johannesburg or Durban branch, or have it delivered via our trusted courier partner.
Free standard shipping is available on online orders/sales of R1,000 or more to major metropolitan areas. Orders/sales below R1,000 are subject to our standard courier fee. Additional courier charges may apply to remote or outlying areas. Full delivery information can be found in our Online Shopping, Pricing & Contents Policy.
Payment may be made by Credit Card or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). For EFT payments, goods will only be released once the funds have reflected and cleared in Camera Tek's bank account.
Orders received before 2:30 PM (Monday to Friday) will generally be processed and dispatched on the same business day, subject to payment confirmation, stock availability and order volumes. Orders received after 2:30 PM will generally be processed on the following business day.
Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday only. No orders are processed or dispatched on weekends or South African public holidays.
Estimated delivery times are generally 1–4 business days to major metropolitan areas. Deliveries to remote or outlying areas may take longer. Estimated delivery times are provided in good faith but may be affected by circumstances beyond Camera Tek's control, including severe weather, strikes, civil unrest, theft, courier delays, road closures or other unforeseen events.
Where stock is not immediately available, customers will be contacted and given the option to wait for stock to arrive, select an alternative product or receive a full refund.
Some products displayed as Awaiting Stock, Backorder or Pre-Order may be subject to supplier price changes before stock arrives. In these instances, customers will be advised of the latest retail price before the order is processed and may choose whether to proceed or receive a full refund.
Camera Tek reserves the right to cancel or decline any order where pricing, stock availability or product information has been displayed incorrectly due to system, supplier or human error. In such instances, customers will be contacted before any order is processed.
Return & Refund Policy
All new products sold by Camera Tek include the official South African supplier or manufacturer's warranty unless otherwise stated.
The provision of goods and services by Camera Tek is subject to availability. In the event that a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, Camera Tek will offer the customer the option of an alternative product, delayed delivery or a full refund.
Items returned for refund or exchange must:
- Be accompanied by the original proof of purchase.
- Be unused and in their original condition.
- Include all original accessories and documentation.
- Be returned in their original, undamaged packaging.
For customer-requested exchanges where no fault exists with the product, the customer will be responsible for the courier costs associated with both the return of the original item and the delivery of the replacement item.
For online orders that have already been dispatched, Camera Tek reserves the right to deduct the original courier cost from any approved refund where applicable.

Customer Privacy Policy
Camera Tek respects your privacy and takes all reasonable steps to protect your personal information.
Personal information is collected, stored and processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) and all applicable South African legislation.
Customer information will only be used for processing orders, providing customer service, communicating order updates and complying with legal obligations. Camera Tek does not sell or distribute customer information to third parties except where required to complete a transaction or where required by law.

Card Acquiring & Security
Online card transactions are securely processed via PayGate, a payment gateway operated by Payfast by Network, one of South Africa's leading payment service providers.
All payment transactions are encrypted using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. Camera Tek does not store customers' credit or debit card details on its website or servers. All sensitive payment information is securely processed by PayGate's PCI DSS-compliant payment platform.

Customer Details Separate from Card Details
Customer information is stored separately from card details entered on PayGate's secure payment platform.
Camera Tek employees do not have access to customers' payment card information.
Merchant Outlet Country & Transaction Currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options is South Africa.
All transactions are processed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Responsibility
Camera Tek accepts responsibility for all aspects relating to transactions concluded through this website, including the sale of goods and services, customer service, payment processing, dispute resolution and delivery of products.
Ownership and responsibility for goods remain with Camera Tek until successful delivery has been completed.
Country of Domicile
This website is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Camera Tek chooses as its domicile citation ET execution for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of legal proceedings, notices or other communications, its registered business address in Johannesburg.
Website Language Translations
The Camera Tek website may be viewed in English, Afrikaans, isiZulu and isiXhosa.
Translations are provided for customer convenience and may not always be completely accurate. In the event of any discrepancy, the English version of the website shall prevail.
Variation
Camera Tek reserves the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
The latest version published on our website shall supersede all previous versions.
